Oman: curry night

Spent most of the day grinding spices, mashing coconut, chopping vegetables etc, in preparation for a curry evening with a few chums. A delicate Rajasthani lamb and a subtle Middle Eastern curried chicken formed the heart of the meal, supported by paneer-do-piaza (cottage cheese with button onions), raita, naan, potato ball thingies, pickles and podamopadomums (as Al used to call them). All was heartily consumed. The garlicky smell on my fingers will probably fade in a couple of days.
