A hearty ‘English’ breakfast in the hotel unusually included frankfurters, beef(?) bacon, farty-looking beans (according to Russ) but very nice eggs. Nonetheless we fuelled up for a walk on one of Jabal Akhdar’s official trekking paths, W18b, from Al Aqor to Sayq.
The path is a pleasant grade 1 hike passing though fruit-laden vegetation on the steps of the mountains and a village forgotten by time. Mrs M’s dodgy knees held up well, causing only the occasional 'Inca Trail' grimace.
