Oman: shell fish rush hour

I arose well before sunrise and walked along the beach to observe the early morning crab rush hour. The terrain looked like a lunar landscape from a 1930 science fiction film with piles of sand as far as the eye could see.

The sun rose with like a giant satsuma turning the silvery sea a rich orange broken only by shallow waves and crabs trying desperately to get into the photographs. Mrs M emerged several hours earlier than expected and we spent the rest of the morning playing on the deserted beach like a couple of children with new buckets and spades.

All good things must come to an end and packing procedures commenced with their usual slickness. We headed back on tranquil roads to the impatient moggies.
