Nails 11.30am, hair 2.30pm......must be another ball. Hours of preparation for the Crystal Ball at the Shangri-La Hotel included the addition of a bunch of flowers in the hair department to go with Mrs M's embroidered silk Chinese dress. This concealed a thermal vest to prevent chilled bones in the positively nippy night air. Food was good. The band was not.
