Oman: post flight report

After a four-hour wait at Dubai, the flight across the Atlantic was slow due to headwinds, resulting in a missed connection at JFK. They passed the unexpected three hours in a time-zone mist before the short hop to Washington. Various medical problems were encountered or enhanced en route (details too gory). They were honoured with 'special searching' (unrelated to coming from the Middle East (you decide)) while details of Saddam Hussein's execution blared out on ubiquitous TVs for the rest of the Arabic passengers. Spot on with the diplomacy.

Back home in Poolesville everyone chilled. A mammoth expedition. Oman was a beautiful country when Kate last saw it 30 years ago. It still is a beautiful country…….
