Muscat goes into hibernation during the summer and wakes up at the beginning of September. As Mrs M has been sedentary for most of this period, a return to weekend Pilates at the Intercon comes as welcome relief. My support role is to lie by the pool with a rousing Arabic language book (after running earlier in the morning I should add). Despite the slight reduction in temperature over the last couple of weeks, the heat index today rose to a sweaty 47C.
