This evening Mrs M dragged me to see 'The Golden Compass', based on Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials. The film is best described as a mixture of The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings with James Bond and a few very sweet polar bears that looked like our Golden Retriever. The somewhat abrupt ending made me realise that I was going to sit through more of this….sigh.
