Oman: where's our Flossie?

The sun popped up over the horizon and was soon casting a broad white line across the motionless sea. Apart from the donkey and the occasional hum of a distant fishing boat, the coast was utterly deserted. It doesn't get any better than this. The only thing missing was our Flossie.
While packing up, an Egyptian vulture floated gracefully overhead, pausing briefly to circle our camp before continuing along the beach. The donkey came out of hiding from the bushes behind, looking nervously to the sky. With everything in the car, it was time to take the traditional dip before heading back to Muscat.
A 'brief' stop in Lulu's took longer than the drive from Tiwi, but provided Al with the ingredients to cook a rasping chilli. After it had matured for several hours on the on the stove, we sat around the table outside and brought his brief stay to a close.
