A number of strange things were spotted on this morning's run. Firstly there was an enormous dead puffer fish resembling a spiky football with two large fins protruding like ice-cream wafers. Secondly, a bus load of Omani ladies wandered along the shore, covered from head to foot in black, including full veils (at 06.30 in the morning?). Finally, as I went for a dip in the warm sea to cool off, a shoal of sardines swam around me, happily jumping out of the water within arm's reach. Wonderful.
