The weather forecast predicted a 30% chance of rain which occurred around 10pm. Strong winds tossed our largest flower pots around the garden while the umbrellas threatened to take off like kites. The wind blew the rain through the windows creating puddles in every room which we attempted to mop up in the dimness of the emergency lighting due to the power cut.
Thirty minutes later it was all over – almost every towel had been used, all curtains were tied up, the tumble drier sat in a lake and both cats were scared witless. 90% chance of rain tomorrow....
