Yet another farewell dinner took place at the Tajin Grill in the Radisson Blu. Formerly known as the Radisson SAS, the hotel’s new name has resulted in a bit of a facelift to the restaurants and fitness centre. The lobby stills feels like the set of a soap opera.
The publicity blurb states that the Tajin has been enhanced into a fine dining restaurant that will dazzle diners, which is going a bit far. The decor has certainly been improved but the food seems the same with set meals at 25, 28, 32, 38 and an incredible 50 OMR. I wonder how many people will pay 50 OMR for Wagyu beef in Muscat?
I partook of the the Norwegian Salmon accompanied by some savagely high tannin wine of unknown origin which will produce the inevitable headache tomorrow morning.
