Brunei: travelling with the PM

There was barely an empty seat on the flight to Brunei which had an usually large amount of passengers in smart matching black blazers and lapel badges. The entourage was accompanying the Prime Minister of Singapore who took his seat in Business Class moments before departure.

On arrival in Bandar Seri Begawan, the plane taxied to the VIP area for a state welcome, which was recorded with unnecessary excitement on the mobile phones of passengers on the port side of the aircraft. Once the formalities were over, the plane was pushed back to the terminal as the last strips of red carpet were being rolled up and bundled into the back of a truck.
