Singapore: Dragon Kiln

Dragon Kiln - Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle
Porcelain figures - Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle The enormous selection of pottery and porcelain figures at the Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle near the junction of the PIE and Jalan Bahar encouraged Mrs M to buy a few blue plates and little dishes which, she claimed, 'would be handy for wasabi paste'. When we left Oman, we finally got rid of our willow pattern china and now she seems to be starting all over again. Not if I can help it.

The pottery also features a ‘dragon kiln’, so named because the long narrow brick construction resembles the belly of the mythical monster which breathes fire when lit – which sadly is not very often these days. Post visit internet rummaging suggests that the Cleantech Park development might kill off the dragon forever.
