On the last day of our three-week marathon, we caught up on neighbourhood gossip with friends in the Brogue at the Old Goat in Fulwell. I savoured a rather fine dish of moules à la crème with chips and a glass of Steembrugge ale while Mrs M whizzed though the first course in order to request a huge banoffee pie. It’s back to the low-to-no carbohydrate rabbit food diet next week. This means I will also live a life devoid of proper food such as potatoes, pasta or bread, so if you are visiting in the next few months, please bring food.
