Singapore: The Coriander Leaf

Lamb Kebab - the Coriander Leaf, Clarke QuayDessert Sampler birthday treat at the Coriander Leaf, Clarke QuayWhile dining at the Coriander Leaf on Clarke Quay, we reflected upon the fact that Mrs M, on the occasion of her 55th birthday, is now categorised as a ‘senior citizen’ in some circles in Singapore. Although this is probably meant for doddery old farts, it will offer  small savings at swimming pools, cinemas and the odd restaurant where they serve milky tea between 2 - 4pm. Can’t wait to be with her when she plays this trump card.

Za'atar Crusted Lamb Rack - Coriander-Leaf, Clarke QuayAfter both partaking of some rather fine lamb treats, Mrs M selected the Dessert Sampler which the manager supplemented with a couple of extra dishes and a candle for the birthday lady. While Mrs M savoured the delights of the chocolate pudding, ice cream and two different types of crème brûlée, I scooped a milky Umm Ali which I have not enjoyed since Oman.

The Coriander Leaf is a fine, high quality and refreshingly understated restaurant. We shall return.
