Petrol station toilets in Oman are beyond description. The Ministry of Tourism should start a toilet grading system like we have in Singapore. Some of the loos here are beautifully decorated with wall paintings. I have thought about taking photos but it's not the best idea to wave a camera around in a public toilet!Mr. Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16359413203368109934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2444151975237762333.post-28378987040056792442010-12-04T09:43:07.324+00:002010-12-04T09:43:07.324+00:00Oh, jeeeez. When you find your lungs refusing to draw air because the smell is so bad, you know the place hasn't been cleaned in a while.

During my 5 weeks of illness when we first arrived I made urgent tours of every filthy public bathroom in Muscat. You know you're in trouble when *every single toilet* in a major mall is broken, all at the same time!

Since then things have seemed better - so I don't know if perhaps all the bathroom cleaners go on holiday for all of Ramadan. I'm starting to wonder.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11817600988845500118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2444151975237762333.post-49425635448349241482010-11-20T08:40:27.610+00:002010-11-20T08:40:27.610+00:00I finally found the world's cleanest bathroom ...I finally found the world's cleanest bathroom in Oman. It was the washroom in the ladies Mosque side in Sohar, in that big Mosque whose name I forget.

Do we have bathroom signs in Oman? I only see the remnants of the Bird Flu scare signs.Omani Princess (not Omani...yet)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11738377563210269837noreply@blogger.com
