Oman: Christmas Day

Children bounced with excitement around the tree to the background drone of Mrs M's very well worn Christmas CD of 70's classics as the gentle waft of turkey began to drift around the house. Post present opening we went for a walk on the beach to arrive back in time for the carving of the beast and the commencement of ritualistic over-eating and drinking. Concerns over the quantity of roast potatoes were unfounded.

That evening, after snoozing off the traditional food coma, the family enjoyed 'Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest' and managed to force down cheese, biscuits and sandwiches, accompanied by some rather fine pickled onions.
