Oman: Shangri-La luncheon

The ladies took lunch today at one of Muscat's finest and newest hotels, the Shangri-La. Opened in January this year, the 5-star complex comprises three hotels, restaurants, spa, banquet facilities, pools and even an Omani heritage village. Sounds a bit tacky, but it's all done very expensively.

They ate heartily in the Middle Eastern 'Al Tanoor' restaurant, culminating in an all out assault on the desert section of the buffet. Mrs M drove the chatty bunch back to Azaibah to recover.

I had scrambled egg on toast for supper that night.
