Another birthday crept up on Mrs M this week. I gave her a Persian rug (apparently) which has already served well as a cat scratching mat. I also bought a bunch of white roses (extraordinarily hard to find in Muscat) and made chocolate mousse last night which was left in the fridge in lieu of the typical crappy birthday card. I am such a good husband. The ladies held a double birthday lunch at the Chedi where they talked the hind legs off several donkeys without alcohol due to Ramadan. The food lived up to the impeccable standards of probably the best restaurant in Muscat.
