Oman: Kew Gardens

This is getting embarrassing. Although a few plants are beginning to appear in some of the houses on the compound, Mrs M continues to plant trays of shrubs to make us more visible on Google Earth. So far we have frangipane, aloe vera, grape, almond trees, lemon and lime trees, climbing jasmine, umbrella plants, banana plants, hibiscus, numerous palm trees, mother-in-law’s tongue, vinca, sunflowers, fig trees and more....

As if this was not enough, a seed nursery has been established to grow melon, tomatoes (six varieties), poppy, verbena, sedums, cucumber and erigeron daisies. Abbey the now wombless kitten usually provides gardening support while Koofi relaxes on the table in preparation for an evening of hissing at the neighbourhood cats.
