Our journey back to Mersing was delayed by rain which eventually stopped, leaving a rather wobbly sea. The Dutch lady closed her eyes for most of the trip except when occasionally glancing at the chap near the engine who was holding a rubber hose in one hand while baling out water with the other. Little Miss M looked like a Strawberry blonde Medusa as her hair blew horizontally across her face while
Mrs M attempted to keep every strand in place. With no such hair problems, the men remained stoic throughout. They won’t forget the last day of their honeymoon.
Apart from a bit of a kerfuffle at a petrol station over my request to purchase 95RON petrol for a Singapore registered vehicle, the journey home featured only gentle snoring from Little Miss M who woke up as we pulled into the drive.
A splendid few days.
