The large black wheelchair bag emerged once again from the customs area pushed by not one, but two, over-enthusiastic porters. Both Mandy and Simon still looked remarkably fresh after a further week holidaying in Bangkok, although some sort of shrubbery appeared to have grown in Mandy's hair during that time.
Back home they recounted tales of monastic tigers, nature parks, River Kwai bridge walks and museums, night markets, magnificent food and charming people before turning in for a short overnight rest before continuing to London tomorrow.
