Oman: fishing detritus

The small groups of fishing huts along Oman’s coastline are generally surrounded by the same sorts of rubbish – old boats, fishing nets, polystyrene blocks, bits of rope, engine oil bottles, concrete bricks, pieces of wood, stinking sardines, plastic bottles, blue carrier bags, tin foil, barbecue remnants and a handful of sleepy fishermen. A rusty truck is often included in this collection. Al Hail’s fishing community has some fine examples.
