UK: Post wedding lunch

A relatively manageable hangover was walked off in the early hours of the morning along footpaths near the house. I had forgotten how big cows were. Enormous brown beasts chewed continuously while others dozed with their offspring in fields of lush green grass as a stiff wind blew fluffy clouds into the background. ‘Just like Singapore’, I thought.

On return to the house Mrs M was already peeling vegetables and wrestling with a lump of meat that was bought with much drama following a traumatic nail appointment. The warm smell of lamb began to drift through the house raising our Flossie and her cousin Louisa from their slumber.

The rest of the day was spent in a food coma. I had the rare opportunity to build a fire.
