South Korea: Airport food

Korean stone pot bibimbap
At the airport there was time for a late lunch. My selection of a stone pot bibimbap was described as ‘very spicy’ by the lady behind the counter who attempted to include some sort of charade to this effect. I laughed. The correct protocol is to stir the ingrediants together until well mixed. The resulting mush of shredded beef, rice and vegetables, together with the small dishes of kimchi, pickles and chillies combine to make one of the best dishes in the region.

For this reason alone I concur with the assessment of Incheon being the world’s best airport.
