After dropping our Flossie at her flat in Bristol, we visited chums in the north of the city that had stayed with us in Singapore last August. Their house had been lovingly converted from two 1930s cottages into a single home which featured the most enviable kitchen and dining room with a vaulted ceiling. Dave had laid on one his speciality curries which was consumed with much appreciation.
