Singapore: Sketching in Boat Quay

Wandering round Boat Quay on a Sunday morning there is a distinct whiff of stale beer, cigarettes and rubbish bins which manages to overwhelm the smell of cooking being pumped out from vents in the back alleys. My sketching spot opposite the 'Pub Samurai' on Circular Road was particularly unsavory, although it might have been something to do with the sticky patch under the chair I dragged from a nearby bar. Nice.

With Mrs M back in London for a while, I spent the rest of the day wandering around computer shops, watching Tin Tin videos, greasing my Rubik's cube (really) and cooking steak sous vide in a cooler.
