It is wonderful to see so many people running and biking on the street each morning in San Diego. Most look super fit; however, one rather overweight gentleman with a huge bright red face the size of a pumpkin staggered past and did not look well. I quickened my step in case he collapsed near me.
The conference went well with the aid of lashings of nasty coffee.
In the evening, I met a former colleague (with wife and friends) from Washington to dine at Mimmo’s. As Marzio is from Italy, we had a good honest discussion about American food. Afterwards we toured an Italian deli admiring all the food as if we were visiting an art gallery.
