Oman: the 'boat trip'

Russ took Duncan for what was unusually described as a ‘fishing trip’. I say unusually because I thought Russ had re-branded these excursions as ‘boat trips’ and undertaken covert fishing activities. If successful, the trip would then immediately be described as a ‘fishing trip’, otherwise it would remain a simple ‘boat trip’. Although a great time was had by all today, this excursion started out as a ‘boat trip’ and unfortunately finished a ‘boat trip’.

In the evening we went to ‘Oman’s first and all time favourite’ restaurant, the Omar Al Khayyam Aladdin in Madinat Sultan Qaboos. The restaurant includes a range of Arabic, Indian, Chinese and ‘continental’ food, which must have been the chicken and chips I spotted, accompanied by a bottle of HP sauce. The Indian dishes we ordered were simple but very good and inexpensive. I think we’ll go there again.
