Oman: goat, mutton or camel?

During the small hours of the night, water was heard dripping from the air-conditioning unit in our bedroom. Nothing odd about that - it happens occasionally. What was slightly unusual was the sound of rain outside and the fact that the garden was covered with water. Investigations revealed that one of the pipes in the water tank had fractured sending a stream of water across the roof onto the ground below. Our guests were oblivious thanks to last night’s Westolls.

We took Lizzi to the airport at 8.30 a.m. for the morning Etihad flight leaving Al time for a spot of last minute shopping which included the ingredients for a surprise farewell stew.

In the early evening, we sat outside with plates of camel, rice and bread and the drift of frankincense to complete the Omani experience. At 9.30 p.m. we returned once again to the airport for Al to return to chilly London.

Thus concluded another Mrs M Tour. Well done Mrs M.
