Singapore: Good English

Speak good EnglishThere are numerous signs across the island promoting the use of 'proper English'.

While waiting for the bus to Kuala Lumpur in the Harbour Centre this morning, I noticed several posters from the 'Speak Good English' movement in one of the food courts. In one poster, children without noses are being taught that 'good humour starts with good English'.

The person in the second frame is unsurprisingly confused by this logic.
